The theft occurred Aug. 5 at Galerie Lamoureux Ritzenhoff on Sherbrooke St. W. at Redpath St., police said. All three paintings were by Jean-Paul Riopelle and other Quebec artists. Gilles Bodart, 60 and Denis Savaria, 58, face charges of theft. The paintings have been returned.
